North Cove House
With 180 degree cove and river views, the North Cove House was intentionally designed to appear to have always existed on this quintessential New England property. The overall design is rooted in the colonial revival style while simplified exterior mouldings and trim give a slight nod to the contemporary resulting in a timeless and classic style. With the owners hailing from Europe, interior finishes, a cloister garden, and timber framing details echo their native country homes. To nurture the owners’ love of gardening the program also includes an herbery, winter garden, and green house/garden shed. Other unique elements include a separate Fitness House connected to the main house on ground level by a colonnade and through the basement with an underground tunnel; adjacent office and library separated by a glass wall; and second floor bedrooms which share a large living space and kitchenette.
